"In the Best of Health – SMILE” Program
Magellan attaches great importance to the social issue of business responsibility.

For over 10 years of its operation it has become aware of the problems both hospital staff and sick children's parents face everyday.

"In the Best of Health – SMILE” Program is focused on bringing joy to children staying in hospitals as well as responding to the needs of children at schools, and also at undertaking actions to support their development.

The program also addresses the need to direct attention to the situation of a sick child and to effectiveness of therapy through a smile and fun. We make attempts to support sick children through periodic programs and single actions alike.

Gift-Giving Campaign

Meetings with the youngest hospital patients are regular events within "In the Best of Health – SMILE” Program, and they are always accompanied by a gift-giving campaign.
We are glad to support acts of charity; however, if we manage to make small patients smile, we consider it most valuable. "We want them to forget about the hospital reality for a brief moment” - explains Paulina Szwed-Dobrzyńska, Manager of Marketing Department in Magellan S.A.
We stage theatre performances for small patients with actors encouraging them to get involved and have fun together.

Together with "Dr Clown" Foundation
Being convinced about the effectiveness of their smile and fun therapy we invited 'Dr Clown' Foundation to cooperation with us.
Volunteers of the Foundation organize teams of "doctor clown" therapists wearing colourful clothes and bringing fun to small patients relieving their stress and tension caused by a non-typical and frequently very hard situation of sick children.
Gift-Giving Campaign

We organize visits of "doctor clowns" to hospitals together with volunteers of the Foundation. Every year when Christmas or Easter is coming we focus particularly on the youngest hospital patients for whom their stay in a medical facility is a traumatic experience. To bring closer an atmosphere of the coming Christmas to them we prepare a gift-giving campaign in Santa Claus Day. That year we hold such a campaign visiting hospitals in Łódź, Leszno, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Zielona Góra and Kraków.
